The Rukoki Magistrate Court, presided over by His Worship George Mfitundinda, has remanded Christopher Kisembo to Mubuku prison until 12th May 2026 over allegations of attempting to rape an 80-year-old woman from Kyirongo Village in Bugoye Sub-county.
Court heard that on the night of 8th November 2025, the accused, a resident of Katoke II Village in Katoke Parish, Bugoye Sub-county, went to the victim’s home and called her to open the door, claiming that suspected Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels had attacked the village and were killing residents.
Upon opening the door, the suspect allegedly forced his way into the house, overpowered the elderly woman, and had sex with her before fleeing the scene.
The following morning, the victim reported the matter to the LC1 Chairperson of Kyirongo Village, who advised her to report the case to Bugoye Police Station.
Police later referred the victim for a medical examination, which revealed injuries, including harm to her private parts and a swollen neck with scratches.
The suspect was subsequently arrested on 11th November 2025 to assist with investigations.
The court adjourned the case to allow the prosecution to present testimony from the medical doctor who examined the victim.
